I was just dozing off in my chair with the latest Tucker Carlson interview playing on the TV when Guardian Angel woke me just in time to hear the following.
Apologies for the poor audio quality.
Did you catch that?
Protestants are the people who “think for themselves” and Martin Luther “took on the 1500 year-old Church by himself”.
The most risible moment is Charlie Kirk proudly asserting that he’s “Calvinist too”.
Luther was a revolutionary who set in motion the destruction of the West by trying to rend Her underpinning foundation – the Catholic Church. Thought for himself? No. He took the volumes of thought of other more brilliant men – like Aquinas and Albert the Great and his own “spiritual father” Augustine – and rejected it as only a man who thinks he knows better can do.
The whole world was just waiting for Martin Luther to come along and tell us how Christ really wanted things run – and by the way, completely at odds with Scripture and Revealed Tradition. Right, that Luther.
And this notion of people being virtuous because they place their conscience as a god? Dipshit, I didn’t need a Protestant to tell me that an immoral law has no weight to it anyway. My Catholic ancestors went to their deaths gleefully violating such laws. Ever hear of the Martyrs of Compiegne, Thomas More, Jose Sanchez del Rio, or about a million Roman martyrs?
Tucker, I love you man; but seriously, check yourself on this one.
Also I guess we know Charlie won’t be getting anything for Christmas this year because in Calvinist-land, everyone is on the naughty list.
