Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for us!
Tenth Sunday after Pentecost. Collect.
“O God, Thou manifestest Thy power, particularly in forbearance and pity, show us Thy mercy again and again, so that hastening toward Thy promises we may become partakers of the blessings of heaven.”

The fruit of the Fifth Decade of the Rosary is devotion to the Blessed Mother. Continuing with the sharing of litanies, here is the Litany of Loreto.

Here’s another litany I pray every morning. Lord knows, without the Angel He gave me in His love and mercy, I’d be dead and burning in hell.
Holy Angel, my Guardian, pray for us!
Well, it’s still August and your humble blogger is still at it. I’ve been busy of late. Traveling again tomorrow so prayers are most appreciated – not just for the travels but for a number of things. my son is taking a test on Saturday so I’m praying he does exceptionally well. There’s still a bit of outstanding schoolwork left from last year so I’m praying we get that done soon. The AC went out in one of my cars so I’m praying that can be fixed quickly and cheaply. And I’m sick. I have the immune system of a horse so it’s shocking when I come down with something. The ivermectin seems to be helping but it’s still annoying so I’m praying that Our Lady, Health of the Sick, will obtain robust health for me from her Divine Son.
I thought I’d share a litany with you that I pray every morning. It is the Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Remember, His Holy Name is the only Name by which we may be saved. He has given us to call upon Him by Name. We should always utter His Name with greatest love and tender devotion. And we should always bow our heads when we do so.
So wake up, fall to your knees, and with love, say His Name again and again. Call upon His Name when you are distressed. Call upon His Name when you give Him thanks. Call upon His Name in every moment of the life He graciously gives you.
O Jesus, meek and humble of Heart, hear us!
