Many have by now seen the revolting Truth Social post of Sunday morning. In it, the President of the United States threatens to destroy civilian infrastructure before praising a demon. It’s that simple. The foul language doesn’t really bother me in that sense that I’m not overly sensitive to it. Though we all certainly should be somewhat sensitive to it. But in the sense that he used the F-word? Shockingly, that’s not the most shocking thing in the post. Tucker Carlson has a video up now where, in his monologue segment he does make the point that (paraphrasing), “blasting obscenities at a mostly Christian nation [America] on Easter Sunday morning,” is and ought to be considered sinful. I do agree with him.
But it is that last line of the post that ought to bother all of us. I deliberately did not link to it. He ends the post by saying, “Praised be to all*h!” My Jersey sense went off in my mind when I read that. As in, “Yeahhhhh… No.”
Far worse than simply being “not what we voted for”, this is an outrage beyond anything I could imagine.
And now, this morning as I write this, the same man is threatening that “a whole civilization will die tonight”.
Keep praying.
Stay confessed.
Who knows where this will all end or how…
Our Lady, Mediatrix of all Grace, pray for us!
