I have enjoyed reading the posts from the ladies at Les Femmes over the past few years. My understanding of the two women – Susan and Mary Ann – is that they are both faithful Catholic women who cut their teeth, so to speak, in the early days of the pro-life movement in the DC area.

And today it got real.

Case in point.

I do hope they not only remain friends but that Susan is able to bring Mary Ann around to the reality of the situation, if for no other reason than that I have a fondness for both of them due to their heroic work and writing.

And welcome to the club, Susan.

I don’t know about you, but it has only been in the past few years that I think I’ve really learned how to make a good confession. It’s almost like the V2 crowd didn’t really want us availing ourselves of this great gift of God or something. Anyway, here’s more Lenten content if you’re interested.

Seriously, I would advise you not to watch if you are sensitive to this kind of thing. However, this man is more modestly dressed than many actual women these days even if he does look like the bastard love child of Celia Cruz and a yeti.

That being said, here’s the takeaway. He states that the NY media had informed the cathedral the night before the funeral.

Why are they even pretending anymore? The faithful Catholics you seem to want not to offend have all gone underground at this point, pulled the hatch shut, and are praying rosaries while waiting for the lightning to strike.

Thank you, Mister Sister, for setting the record straight I suppose. You’re right. There is a war and it’s been waging for decades (cf. Cardinal Spellman, et al.).
