From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!

From the Introit of the Mass:
“This day you shall know that the Lord will come, and save us: and in the morning you shall see His glory.”
Four candles have burned down to waxy nubs. Our Lord is almost here!
I feel a touch of that anguish that St. Joseph must have felt as he scrambled through the streets of Bethlehem searching for a place for the Blessed Mother of God and the Savior of the World to dwell. Me? I’m just wondering where I put the sherry for that mushroom bisque I’m making for the dinner tomorrow. That’s kind of the same thing, right? I did say a touch; not all the anguish.
May your day be filled with the joy of that Child Who comes to us defenseless, out of love for us – pure love.
May His Holy Mother, the CO-REDEMPTRIX, keep you close to her Immaculate Heart.
May St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse, protect you.
I mentioned the high temps already. What else could make this Christmas truly Texan?…

Saw a headline that read “North Texas has only hit 80° on Christmas Day twice in 130 years. This year will mark the third time.”
I sense I should have been praying for snow this whole time.
Fourth Sunday of Advent, Collect from the Mass:
“Put forth Thy power, O Lord, we beseech Thee, and delay not: and with Thy great might come to our aid, so that what is hindered by our sins may be hastened by Thy merciful goodness. Qui vivis et regnas…”

… when you get a new archbishop rammed down your throat.
I don’t think Paul Lynde could have given a more flaming press conference.
… those files were coming out today? Or any day for that matter?
