The whole thing is horrifyingly hysterical but pay close attention to Cruz’s supposition that he must support the modern political state of Israel because it’s “in the Bible”.

Pay careful attention.

Israel is the Catholic Church. *

There, so much easier to comprehend, right?

He then goes on to state that when elected to the human senate** in 2012, he asserted that his main goal was to be the number one defender of that state of Israel. News to me. If I’d known that when I voted for him back then, I would have paused.

Go to confession. Stay out of sin. Live your state in life.
