A Saint for Everything

I do love our Catholic notion of patron saints.

Take a guess who I’ll be seeing in the near future…

Nothing serious but it helps to have a heavenly ally.

Bless This House

It’s that time again!

Hear us, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty; Eternal God, and send Thy Holy Angel from Heaven to watch over, cherish, protect, be with, and defend all who live in my house. I call upon Thy Saints Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar to protect my family and my home from every harm and danger, and I placed the marks of their holy names over the doors of my home to remain there as a constant reminder to us and to all who enter here that my house is truly a house of the Lord. O God, make the door of my house the gateway to Thy Eternal Kingdom. I ask these thinks in the Name of Jesus Christ Thy Son. Amen.”

At the Name of Jesus

Reposting this video because I love the song and I like this arrangement. Disregard whatever denomination Protestant they are. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

January 5 is the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus – the only Name by which we may be saved.

Call upon His Name in every instance of your life. It is a most beautiful and most powerful Name.

First Friday of 2025!

As always, why not partake of this beautiful devotion?

Remember Christian That Thou Hast This Year…

God to glorify,

Jesus to imitate,

The Angels and Saints to invoke,

A soul to save,

A body to mortify,

Sins to expiate,

Virtues to acquire,

Hell to avoid,

Heaven to gain,

Eternity to prepare for,

Time to profit by,

Neighbors to edify,

The world to despise,

Devils to combat,

Death, perhaps to suffer,

And judgment to undergo. *

The foot of Calvary

A blessed New Year to each and every one of you!

Please pray for me as I desire wholeheartedly to grow in virtue and be a good example for my wife and children this Year of Our Lord, 2025.
