Kyrie Eleison

Not sure why they’re standing in the sanctuary or why it’s a Novus Ordo sanctuary at that (table, piano, etc.) but this is beautiful and a prime example of wha the tried to take from us.

Lord, have mercy!

Meditation in Art

Behold Thy Mother

Keep Going. It’s Only Been Four Days.

From the collect for the First Sunday of Lent:

“O God, Thou Who dost purify Thy Church by the yearly Lenten observance, grant to Thine household that what they strive to obtain from Thee by abstinence, they may achieve by good works.”

We Adore Thee, O Christ!

For love of me, an ungrateful sinne, Thou didst willingly embrace Thy cross!

Read Any Good Books Lately?

Here’s a great Lenten suggestion for you.

Our friend, Dr. Ed Mazza (E$), is out with a new tome. It’s called Saints vs. Antipopes: Evil in the Church of Rome Convicted and Evicted.

I have not received my signed copy yet (kidding. I’m going to order it like everyone else) but I anticipate it to be, like everything else he does, a scholarly and well researched work.

Many, Many Times: This

I don’t like linking to 1P5 so instead I will link to NVP (who links to 1P5). I am a huge fan of Matthew Plese. It is his presentation on fasting a few years ago that encouraged me to try to do what my ancestors in the faith did regarding fasting.

Thanks to Mark D. for posting this excellent resource this morning!
