History Field Trip

Today I took the kids to visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Western Facility. It’s where the money is made.

They don’t allow you to bring any kind of recording device in so we have no pictures.

Still it was nice to see the exact spot where inflation meets reality.

At one point I read a sign on the wall that “The currency here is not legal for use until disbursed to the Federal Reserve System” or some such.

“Does that mean it’s not real money, Dad?”

“Kids… It’s all fake and has been at least since the early 70’s.”

And now you know. And now, so do the other guests at the museum.

Just making the world a brighter place a few kids at a time.

Must Read

I certainly don’t think he’ll mind if I share a link to this. I encourage one and all to read St. Louis Catholic’s recent “diary entry”. It really made me laugh.

Staying Confessed?

Update: I watched it. It’s good. Carry on.

I will say up front that I have not watched this video (yet). I’m on my way to slumber so I’ll probably fall asleep with Clayton and Natalie in the background.

The point is, the headline more or less says it all.

I will check back in tomorrow to see if the clip was worthwhile. Apologies in advance if it isn’t.

Still Powerful

Always worth a watch.

67

Today would have been my parents’ 67th wedding anniversary. God love you, Mom and God grant rest to your soul, Dad.

The DMV

Need I say more?

Deo Gratias?

My son passed his driving test today.

I am scared.

But many thanks for all the prayers.

I will now spend the remaining balance of my life in prayer for him and the other Texas drivers.
