There’s a prayer my son and I pray every night when we head out in the car to take a little drive around town. We go out to say our night prayers and any of my novena prayers that I haven’t finished yet. The prayer (found in most 1962 hand missals) reads as follows:
“O God, Who hast doomed all men to die but hast concealed from all the hour of death, grant that I may pass my days in the practice of holiness and justice and that I may deserve to quit this world in the peace of a good conscience and in the embraces of Thy love, through Christ our Lord. Amen.”
I happened to be driving up I-71 in northern Kentucky just moments ago. Actually, I happened to be (uncharacteristically for me) the passenger as my niece drove for a bit. I told her the story of the infamous Kentucky bus collision of 1988. Then we passed the sign.

Friends, you never know when God will call you to judgment.
I’m sure the 27 young people taken that night didn’t suspect it was their time when they boarded the bus.
Be prepared.
STAY CONFESSED!

Shortly after posting I continued down the road and encountered the world’s largest Immaculate Heart of Mary flag flying high above the same highway with a beautifully painted “Pray the Rosary” sign in front. The flag is from Tradflags.com. Please support them. They are magnificent.
