First Friday for March 2024

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Dr. Mazza for the Win (Again).

I like Dr. Mazza. A lot. As a lifelong teacher I appreciate his style tremendously. As a promoter of truth I appreciate his passion in the face of naysayers. As a fellow northeastern, I just get the guy. Check this out.

Looks Like Susan Took the Red Pill

I have enjoyed reading the posts from the ladies at Les Femmes over the past few years. My understanding of the two women – Susan and Mary Ann – is that they are both faithful Catholic women who cut their teeth, so to speak, in the early days of the pro-life movement in the DC area.

And today it got real.

Case in point.

I do hope they not only remain friends but that Susan is able to bring Mary Ann around to the reality of the situation, if for no other reason than that I have a fondness for both of them due to their heroic work and writing.

And welcome to the club, Susan.

Fr. Isaac Mary on Confession

I don’t know about you, but it has only been in the past few years that I think I’ve really learned how to make a good confession. It’s almost like the V2 crowd didn’t really want us availing ourselves of this great gift of God or something. Anyway, here’s more Lenten content if you’re interested.

St. Rita Calls Again

Beginning another nine days of prayer to the saint of the impossible. Email any prayer requests. Also, if you’ve previously asked for prayers and have any updates, I’d love to hear about them!

Worth the Watch

Others have posted this from Catholic Esquire. It is definitely worth the few minutes of your time.

Under These Sacred Veils Where Thy Love for Me Hath Concealed the Splendor of Thy Majesty!

Even those words do not come close to doing justice to the supreme act of condescension of Out Lord in giving Himself to us in Holy Communion. Friends, it’s Lent. Any stellar content I come across, I am passing on to you. Please watch this talk from Fr. Ripperger and be edified.
