I always suggest doing the five First Saturdays to all who have not engaged this beautiful devotion before. Blessed Mother gave us this through Sr. Lucia for a good reason. It is for our time. Although I (uncharacteristically) missed Mass today, I have completed the First Saturdays many times in the past.
Things to consider…
- It is always a good idea to confess one’s sins (and yes, even past sins).
- We never know how much time any of us has on this earth. Don’t delay a practice that takes five months to complete. Start now.
I wish you all a blessed Saturday and weekend! It appears the eclipse (I’m in the direct path of totality) may actually be visible as it looks like the cloud cover might part in time. And then we’re supposed to get slammed with “gorilla hail and tornadoes” according to the Storm Prediction Center.
Man, it’s hard not to be let your mind wander toward conspiracies when there are just so many coincidences. Tack on an LOL after that in your mind.
