Terra Firma – Deo Gratias!

I’ve said many times that man was never supposed to fly. Tin cans with wings are frightful inventions. And no one should ever be subject to a short layover at ATL connecting from A1 to E29.

Regardless… Thanks much for all the prayers as I’ve been traveling. I am home safe and sound.

Thanks be to God!

April 21

For those who care to know…

https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/day/april-21

And if anyone is curious why this post (written on May 14, 2024) is showing a publication date of April 21 and containing nothing of value other than a little history, here’s the story.

I wrote something on April 21st and published it. Some of you might remember it. It was the post about a family wedding. I have since met with that family member and made my objections known. Sadly, the outcome was less than ideal. In the course of our discussion, this family member mentioned having been hurt by the aforementioned post. I told her I’d take the post down (first time I’ve ever done that) if it would facilitate peace in the family. I’m not proud. But I also made it abundantly clear that I stand by what I wrote.

So why the “This Day in History”? Simply. I have a streak going on WordPress and I had to replace the post I removed with something.

I’m not proud.

I’m competetive.

Third Sunday after Easter

The Collect of the Mass:

“Almighty God, Who showest to them that be in error the light of thy truth, to the intent that they may return into the way of righteousness, grant unto all them that are admitted into the fellowship of Christ’s Religion, that they may eschew those things that are contrary to their profession, and follow all such things as are agreeable to the same.”

Amen.

Pray for Us, Saint Rita

I came across this video and thought it was good enough to share.

Holy and Wholesome

It is indeed salutary to pray for the faithful departed. Who knows, upon the release of that one soul when your prayer “put him over the top” so to speak, he may gratefully obtain incredible grace for you.
