I Was Raised in It and It’s No Different

My friend Andrew Dunn had this great piece up on his substack.

“Years went by and at some point, I became aware that the Catholic Mass was VERY different before the Second Vatican Council which by this point, I was getting a little tired of hearing about its greatness during pretty much every Sunday homily. I am by nature, a very inquisitive person, and when something captures my interest and The Mass did just that, off I was to learn more about the Latin Mass…”

The difference between the two of us is that I spent the first 40 years of my life in the Novus Ordo. By the time I was born, the new Mass had only been a thing for seven years. God gives us each the “spark” when He wills to.

A Visit from Family

Apologies for the light posting of late. I have family in town and we’ve been busying ourselves doing touristy things.

Meanwhile, my prayers continue for all of you.

Holy Mary, Mother of the Savior, pray for us!

I wanted to share the collect from th Mass of Christ the King so here it is:

“Almighty and eternal God, Who willed to restore all things in Thy beloved Son, the King of the Universe, graciously grant that the peoples of the earth torn asunder by the wound of sin, may submit to His most gentle rule. Per Dóminum Nostrum…”

Sunday Reminder

This one is for the men:
