St. Rita, pray for us!
In the wake of the horrifying attempt by the deep state to blow the head off the former president and current candidate on live television, there has been a lot of use of the word Providence.
And you can believe that Godās hand was absolutely at work on July 13 at 6:11 PM For nothing good in this world happens, but through Godās Divine Providence.
Am I saying that Donald Trump is somehow anointed, a katechon, or destined to save the world from the dregs of satanism? Not quite (although that may be the case after all).
But somehow, in the aftermath of that day, an incredible story I have been meaning to share, got lost in the shuffle of my brainās index. ļæ¼
There is a beautiful and old saying.
āDay and night on Carmelās Height, someone is always praying we for you!ā
Many of you by now know of my love and admiration ā one could almost call it a childlike devotion ā to the cloistered nuns of the Carmelite order worldwide. ļæ¼
For centuries, the women who have entered the walls of Carmel have devoted their lives to praying for the Church and the world nonstop. Quiet, unassuming women in simple brown habits wake in the middle of the night to pray. They rise early to pray. They pray before Our Lord in the Tabernacle and the Monstrance. They pray in the fields. They pray together. They pray alone. I guarantee they even pray in their sleep.
I am blessed to live near not one but two Carmels here in Texas. The priests of my parish serve the sisters offering a daily Mass according to the ancient rites (a TLM). Occasionally, I find myself at the Carmel instead of the parish, because the time of the Mass works better for my schedule.
For the past four years now, at the end of every Mass at this particular Carmel, the sisters rise from behind the great, pull a cord that draws closed the curtain, and begin anew in their prayer. They pray deliverance prayers – essentially prayers of exorcism – that have been adapted for use by the laity. They begin with St. Patrickās Breastplate and continue on. If one is inclined to remain in the chapel in his own prayer of thanksgiving, one can hear the sisters add a prayer asking God to protect:
āPresident Trump, America, and the Church!ā*
Every. Single. Day.
When I first heard the sisters offer this prayer in early 2021, I wondered aloud to my wife, whether the cloister had prevented them hearing the news that he was no longer the president. As time went on, I began to realize that whether they knew or not, I certainly wasnāt going to tell them and that a prayer is a prayer. Surely the sisters know how to pray a million times better than I do.
God heard the prayers of these holy virgins. He listens favorably to the brides of His Son. I know their prayers alone would be enough to incline Our Lord to send His angels to tilt the head of President Trump on the stage that day at just the right moment. And I thank God for that!
I pray for the conversion on Donald Trump. I hope he comes to learn about the Carmelites. I beg God to move his heart to fight, fight, fight for all innocent human life.
And I know that no matter what, someone is always praying for him, and for me, and for you.
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, pray for us!

*A previous versions of this post had the words, āand the worldā instead of āand the Churchā. Thank you to reader DM for pointing out the error.
Your guess is as good as I am but if the rumors are true, Iām happy he got to make his big boy press conference.
Folks, Iām 46 years-old. This is 100% true for me.

Also, I was right three weeks ago. If my political instincts are correct, look for Pedo Joe to be forced *from office* within the week. This will give the Cackler the supposed benefit of incumbency and further help to memory-hole the disaster that Joe is.
You heard it here first.
