Quite often, others put things in words far better than I could. One of those people is Mark D. of the Non Veni spaceman blog. I cannot imagine any of my readers are not familiar with his work. On the off chance that you aren’t, please do yourself a favor and start reading his page on the daily. Today he posts about St. Anselm with a list of quote attributed to that great Doctor. I include two of my favorites below. Please read the whole thing here:
“A single Mass offered for oneself during life may be worth more than a thousand celebrated for the same intention after death.”
“It is impossible to save one’s soul without devotion to Mary and without her protection.”
That second quote in particular is so true and so perfect. I have taken to asking Our Lord each morning (and throughout the day), “Lord, help me to love Thy Mother as Thou dost love her!”
