I am writing this post on my way home from the airport. My wife is driving. And thanks be to God for a safe arrival.
The sad state of travel these days… Although, kudos to the captain for personally apologizing to every passenger as we deplaned. it really wasn’t his fault that he was assigned a gate that already had a plane parked at it. That was a 45 minute wait in the “timeout box”, as he put it. It’s also not his fault that the gate agent wasn’t on scene to bring the jetbridge out once we were parked at the gate. That was another 30 minutes. And it certainly was not his fault that it took an hour and fifteen minutes for our bags to come up. Folks, this is DFW, not a rural country airstrip.
On the plus side, I got to see the inside of a magnificent church today.
You KNEW she would be there. 😉
