Want to Know What Their Goal Is? It Should Be Obvious by Now.

In early February of this year, I was still on a pause as writer of this very blog. I hadn’t written anything in a few months. I was waiting – though I did not know it – for the right impetus to come along and spur me back into my daily writing, something I have loved doing for many years. That moment came in May when I read an article on Canon 212 about Fr. Gerald Murray scoffing at Frank Walker’s headlines and felt compelled to write a piece responding to Murray and defending Walker. And from there I continued to write every night. I think I’m back in the groove now.

St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church, Irving, TX. It shouldn’t be this hard to find Our Lord.

I mention February because it was during that month that I, after listening to a Barnhardt Podcast (if you haven’t ever listened to one, please do yourself the tremendous favor), decided to pen a letter to Miss B. To my great surprise, she published the letter in full on her page almost immediately.

The content of that letter was my supposition as to exactly how the anti-Church is going to attempt to suppress the sacrifice of the Mass. Many of us have already theorized that eventually the TLM crowd will be corralled into a tight space. We will find our way into the SSPX (who remain not in schism by the way). We will be declared to be in schism from the Church when it would be the other way around.

But what of the Novus Ordo? Some may disagree with me, I am sure. However, I still contend that the Novus Ordo in se offers a valid consecration. As I wrote a few months ago regarding a literal clown Mass, “Do I believe the sacrifice to have been validly offered? Yes. And that is why I think God is not too happy to have been called down on that altar.”

So below I am both linking to the letter as Ann published it and publishing it in full here. Do click on the link if you have time. Barnhardt has some interesting in-text commentary. And disregard the “T.” at the bottom of the letter. We all know my initials are “HM”. Wouldn’t it be interesting if I drove some traffic to her page? One could only hope.

Dear Ann,
Have I got a doozy of a theory for you (following on your most recent podcast).  Like you, I have been hearing rumors that Bergoglio will not only herd all former Ecclesia Dei communities into the SSPX to then “excommunicate” us but that he will also change the form of the canon.  You made some good suggestions.  “This is our Body”, “This represents My Body”…  My nephew, a young man with a wife and son who works night shifts as a cop in a large northeastern city so that he can still attend the TLM without difficulty, proposed this to me so I’m giving him credit here.
“This is the Body of Christ.”
That’s it.  If the words of consecration are changed to these six simple words, it is not only glaringly obvious to what depths of heresy we will have sunk but also profoundly subtle.  It takes away the complete sacrificial nature of the priest – a man configured to Jesus Christ the High Priest – speaking in the first person the literal same words of the Divine Master.  AND, it does this in a way that all previous translations of the canon did not.  In the 70’s we had the awful “… for you and for all” but that didn’t change the essential words of institution.  Here we would have a priest simply proclaiming what is supposedly in front of him on the paten (though he would have consecrated nothing).  Remember how demeaning the sacrificial nature of the Roman mass has been the goal all along.  That’s why they gutted the offertory, diced up the collects, and generally dumbed down the entirety of the mass with their pedestrian and, frankly, low-IQ language.
The reason this is subtle is that the average Novus Ordo mass-goer would simply say, “But that’s what it IS.  See, the priest tells me that every time he puts the host in my hand.  He says ‘the Body of Christ’ so what’s the big deal?”  They (the fag-hag modernist hacks) will also claim that this is nothing more than a “restoration” of what the Apostles did – arguing from the standpoint of archeologism in the same way they love to toss around the phrase “the reformed liturgy” in reference to the Bugnini rite.  There is no reforming what Christ Himself gave to us and the Church nurtured for 1900 years.
I’ve been hearing talk that one of the forthcoming documents from Rome will be a revision to Liturgiam Authenticam.  That 2001 document states at no. 20:
“The original text, insofar as possible, must be translated integrally and in the most exact manner, without omissions or additions in terms of their content, and without paraphrases or glosses. Any adaptation to the characteristics or the nature of the various vernacular languages is to be sober and discreet.”
A change to that principle would effectively allow a worldwide paraphrase of the canon a la what Bergoglio has already done to the Pater Noster in Italian.
Anyway, Ann, these are just my thoughts on the matter.  This might not come to pass and might not even be coherent.  We continue to pray and watch.  Meanwhile, I’m locking down my connections so that when we do go underground I’ve got a priest in the foxhole with me who will offer the actual mass.
As always in Christ,
HM

Uncle Arthur Done Lost His Damn Mind

I have a knack for collecting my out-of-town guests from the airport holding up a sign in the manner of a livery driver. Unlike a livery driver, however, I somehow wind up with a bizarre sign in my hands or even wearing “strange” clothing. For instance, there was that one time when my older brother landed and I greeted him at security holding a sign that said: “Welcome to your first pride!” He approached me, studiously placed his reading glasses on his face, leaned in, read the sign, grabbed the sign out of my hand and laughed in the way only a brother can laugh at a gag like that.

Then there was the time when I picked up my adult nephew in true redneck fashion. I cut the sleeves off of my shirt, grabbed a lasso made from clothesline, and dressed up my kids like a horse and cowboy while holding a sign that said: “Welcome home from rehab!” Oh boy, where was I going with this… Oh yes!

Newly cardinaled Arthur Roache, the creepy old Brit is demonstrating once again why he earned himself the moniker “Uncle Arthur”. At first I thought it was because of his wacky antics, kind of like Jesse on Full House. However, now I’m starting to suspect it’s because of his resemblance to Uncle Fester. Also, he’s out his damn mind, as is sometimes said in Texas. He also strikes me as the type who would flip sides in a heartbeat if the circumstances were different.

From Lifesite we read the following:

“That reform is taking place, but it’s a slow process because there are those who are dragging their feet with regard to this and not only dragging their feet but stubbornly opposing what the Church has actually decreed.

That’s a very serious matter. In the end, people have to ask themselves: am I really a Catholic, or am I more of a Protestant?”

The “reform” to which he refers is the destruction of the ancient (read: Catholic) Mass. Imagine the gall of a man, a prince of the Church no less, suggesting that a Catholic is actually a Protestant because he clings to the Catholic Mass. I’ve written about this very issue before. There are those in the Vatican and elsewhere who have as their goal the eradication of the Mass. As that does not seem to have materialized, they will attack the Mass-goers as non-Catholic when they themselves are really the non-Catholics.

Don’t fall for it. Also, don’t assume that they won’t still try to eradicate the Mass from the face of the earth. It’s not like they didn’t give us a preview two years ago. It’s not like it hasn’t been prophesied in Daniel. It’s not like they haven’t been wetting themselves over this prospect for decades. Tomorrow I will publish a letter I wrote about six months ago to another blogger who, at the time, graciously published it. That blogger’s link was shared on Canon 212. It was not known to have been written by me at the time. You will see what I mean when I run it. In the meantime…

Don’t let the ramblings of a madman hireling get under your skin. Love the Latin Mass. And that man had better not ever call me a Protestant again, psycho-freak – sorry, Uncle Cardinal Arthur. Also, he seems really pissed that we’re “dragging our feet” about all this, so I say gum up the works my friends. They’ve stated their goal of eventually “bringing us all back into the sole expression Novus Ordo weirdness”. They’ve got dates already marked on calendars in certain dioceses indicating when the TLM comes to an end. Do what it takes to slow things down.

Sunday Night Roundup: Now with Second Declension Neuter Nouns!

Bella, belli, bello, bellum, bello…

If that makes sense to you, then welcome to Fr. Henle’s First Year Latin Course. My homeschooled kids are currently knee-deep in Henle Latin which means that I, their teacher, am currently ankle deep in Henle Latin. Never fear, though, because I have taken this exact course before and I actually seem to remember much of it. That is… until we get to verbs. Then, they’re on their own. Oh well, at least maybe this time I’ll find out why the slaves of the Galls do not praise Mary. Frankly, if they don’t praise Mary, they should be shot.

Dr. Mazza (again) for the Win!

This past Thursday evening I listened in to a webinar featuring the amazing Dr. Ed Mazza. Dr. Mazza did what Dr. Mazza does best. He explained the Bergoglian antipapacy. I wonder if Mazza every thought, years ago, that this would be his life now. And yet, here we are. Men like Mazza, women like Barnhardt… They are simply using their intellects and the grace God has given them to testify to the Truth. It does not matter how many millions think that Jorge is the Vicar of Christ. Some things cannot be unseen. I decided a while ago (after reading what they both, and others, had to say) that I could remain silent no longer. We (dare I include myself) are making progress. Gradually more and more voices are speaking up. If you are unsure to what I refer, watch this interview with John Henry Westin.

See You in September

Growing up in the shadow of Manhattan and having been homeschooled, I spent a lot of time as a youngster in (what was) the greatest city in the world. One Wednesday a month, my mom would take my younger sister and me into the City to toy around. It was our “culture” class. We’d see a Broadway show, grab lunch at Sardi’s, and take in the sights and sounds of the Big Apple. It was magnificent. I learned some of my favorite words in Times Square (pre-Giulliani). One of the shows we saw was the colonial-era musical 1776 which tells the story of the drafting of the Declaration of Independence. The show, originally staged in 1969, was composed by Sherman Edwards. He never wrote another musical in his life. He did however write a pop song in the 1960’s. Turns out old Mr. Edwards was a high school history teacher. Every June he would lament that his students would go off for the summer so he sat down and composed the song See You in September. It’s catchy.

Presumably, he would return in September and be clobbered with “Bella, belli, bello, bellum, bello”…

And then he died.

Look, if Paul Harvey could pull that “rest of the story” nonsense, I can end things like they do in real life. With death.

Another Nine

Note: This post is published on Sunday with Saturday’s date. I had started writing it before midnight but confession went super long yesterday because of all of my environmental sins. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

L: Mother of Good Counsel, R: St. Rita

The point of this post is simply to say that I am beginning another in my ongoing novenas to St. Rita. This time I will be specifically praying for the thing she is known to obtain often – family peace I pray this for my own and for all of your families as well. I also pray for the specific intentions that readers have sent me and I ask that any readers praying the novena pray for my intentions as well.

St. Rita, pray for us!

Are We All Ready?

A little personal accompaniment tonight… I was alerted by my blog hosting site after last night’s post that I have posted 100 days in a row. As long as good folks like you keep reading, I think I’ll keep writing. Daily. It’s good for me.

Now then, perhaps you’ve heard the rumors, as have I, about a co-adjutor pope? Maybe even Cupich?

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Belleville, NJ

Friends, if you can’t see that this is the anti-Church on full display, I might not be able to convince you.

But we shall see what transpires this weekend.

Our Lady, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us!

Sacred Music to Slumber By

Friends, Harvey is beat tonight. It’s been a long day, starting with morning Mass. I still marvel that I can speak in absolute truth the words of a prayer found in my missal:

“Today, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, condescended to come and dwell within me, and gave Himself to me!”

Cathedral Basilica of Notre-Dame de Quebec, Quebec City, Quebec

And I pray the same for each of you. If you haven’t made the daily Mass part of your life, what are you waiting for? He waits for you there. Every day, He renews His sacrifice. He longs for you to come and kneel before His altar, before Calvary itself. That is where He wants to bring you. For when you worship Him in the sacrifice of the Mass, you ARE present at Calvary. It is a mystical and beautiful moment when time and eternity meet. Go to Him if you haven’t already. There is no reason not to. He only longs to Love you from the depths of His inexhaustible Heart.

What else did I do today? The usual. Taught my kids, made some new friends, visited family… you know, the usual.

As I drift off to sleep so I can recharge and do it all again tomorrow, here is some music that helps the process along. I’m kidding myself because in five minutes I’ll be watching YouTube videos of tornados. Now that helps me fall asleep.

Safe Environment for Whom?

Ever volunteer in a parish? Ever teach in a Catholic school? Ever do either of these things in the past twenty years? Then you get Harvey’s gold star of the day!

You also know about the joys of the “Safe Environment” program. Not familiar? Oh, let’s have a chat…

I recently signed my kids up for a few classes at our parish homeschool co-op and in order to get out of paying an extra fee, I also agreed to supervise “parking lot duty” during one of the morning periods. I put on an orange traffic vest and hold a clip board. Nothing looks more manly, trust me.

Where it gets interesting is that I am required, per diocesan policy, to take an online module in the Safe Environment program.

I am quite familiar with this garbage, having taught in Catholic schools for years. It’s been a while but I think I can soldier through 45 minutes of nonsense.

But it is nonsense. And for more reasons than just wasting my time.

Safe Environment was hatched by the USCCB at the 2002 Dallas Conference. This is the same conference in which none other than Ted McCarrick stood up and proclaimed “We love God’s children!” Gross. “We need to make sure that we don’t ever have to have a Dallas II or Dallas III, etc.”

Incorrupt Body of Mother Cabrini (sans head which is in Rome), Cabrini Shrine, Washington Heights, Manhattan

What the schmoozing and schmaltzy schlongmeister was actually saying was, and you can all say it with me, “We need to protect ourselves, the bishops, because most of us are queer and we want to keep diddling dudes. So we’re going to hire a marketing firm to come up with a cockamamie ‘program’ that meets some legal requirements enough to COVER OUR ASSES.”

Meanwhile they ignored Richard Sipe. They ignored their own data. They ignored common sense because that kind of logic pointed right back at them. The problem was always with them. They raped post-pubescent boys. They embezzled Church funds to cover their addictions. They moved these predators from parish to parish under the guise that (as the now-dead and judged Rembert Weakland said), “I didn’t know that sexual abuse of children was a crime!”

Get the hell outta here…

Newsflash: ANY sexual contact involving children is a crime AND a mortal sin which is even more significant. You as the shepherds should know this. And you actually did know this.

Mother Cabrini statue, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fort Worth, TX

But they had a program to deal with it! They decided the problem was with the thousands of lay people who gave their time to fill roles as teachers and catechists. Sure, it was us. We were the ones writing the transfer orders for pedo priests. We were the ones actually sodomizing young men. Surely carefully vetting us would make sure that faggot priests and bishops would never faggotize again. That’s it.

But the program? It’s a beaut… the first time I had to watch this garbage I remember cringing. Great Moments in Bad Acting would have been a better title. It was a video featuring horrific acting that portrayed a school teacher taking a kid into a utility closet and then a narrator voiced over the line, “The teacher should have been reported by her principal.” Of course. But they never showed the bishop having anal sex with the seminary candidate at his beach house with the line, “This is the anti-Church, folks. Avoid it at all costs.”

I remember they even appointed Frank Keating, the venerable former governor of Oklahoma to sit on their lay review board to monitor the progress of Safe Environment. Until he quit a year later because he saw through their BS.

The problem is still there. And it will be there until Our Blessed Mother intervenes.

In the meantime I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Everyone just goes along with this pile of horse manure because, well, we have to so we can volunteer at our kids’ school. Oh believe me, I’m going online and taking this course. I’ll answer the inane questions about whether children should be alone with adults at the parish. But I’m also writing a letter to the USCCB to point out that the true question should be whether any of the “adults” running the Church shouldn’t be defrocked and prosecuted.

On a closing note, I remember in the early days of this program, the title of the videos was Protecting God’s Children. My fellow teachers and I always added From God’s Bishops.

St. Bartholomew, pray for us!
